Get Help With Your Application

There are many ways to get help with your application, described below:

Number to Call for Additional Help

The DFAP Call Center will assist you with general inquiries and answer questions you may have in completing your application. You can reach them by email at info@22007apply.gov or phone at 1-800-721-0970.

DFAP Call Center is open from 8 am EST to 8 pm PST, 7 days per week, excluding federal holidays. On Wednesday, Jan. 17, the DFAP Call Center will be open from 8 a.m, EST to midnight PST.

Make an Appointment

If you would like to schedule time at a DFAP local office, please call the DFAP Call Center at 1-800-721-0970. After selecting your preferred language, press Option 3. This will connect you with a team member who will help you with setting an appointment—in person at a local office, on the phone, or virtually - that fits your schedule.

  • Get help scanning your supporting documentation
  • Get other help

Help on the Phone or Online

  • Help by online video call:
    • English. We offer two online group sessions to assist you with the application process every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday:
      • Program Overview Sessions from 4-5 p.m. Eastern Time
      • 10-Step Application Process (an in-depth look at each section of the application): 6-8 p.m. Eastern

    • Spanish. We offer one online group session to assist you with the application process every Tuesday and Thursday:

  • Or you can contact the Call Center to schedule a virtual appointment for individual technical assistance. Email info@22007apply.gov or call 1-800-721-0970.

Local Offices

Team members can assist you with the following services:

  • Completing and filing your application through eFile or on a paper copy
  • Checking the status of your application
  • Assisting you with scanning images of your documentation
  • Providing interpretation and translation services
  • Access to computers for filling out and filing your application

Please remember; filing an application is free, you are not required to have an attorney assist you in order to apply, and DFAP team members can provide no-cost help. If you choose to come into a local office, parking is always free. When you arrive, look for the Discrimination Financial Assistance Program (DFAP) signage. See below for local offices.

Local Events

Local events are being organized to provide help to people who are not near a local office. At these local events, we can assist you with:

  • Completing and filing your application through eFile or on a paper copy
  • Checking the status of your application
  • Providing interpretation and translation services

When you arrive, please look for the DFAP signage. If there are no events listed in your state, please check back as our local events schedule will be updated. Stay tuned!

Community Groups

To support producers throughout the application process, USDA is partnering with organizations with extensive experience conducting outreach to farm organizations. These organizations are well equipped to share information about the Program and provide assistance with applications. (They are not involved in the program’s design, administration, or vendor-selection.)

Mailing Addresses for Application Submissions

Submitting your application and supporting documents online using the e-Filing system is the fastest and easiest way to file. Please do not email your application or supporting documentation for this program. We are not able to consider applications and/or supporting documents sent via email. However, your completed application can be mailed to one of our application processing centers. The table below provides the mailing address you should use when submitting your application, based on the state where your farm, ranch, or land is located. If you have questions on where to mail your application, contact the DFAP Call Center at 1-800-721-0970.
